It is little wonder Adetokunbo pursued a career in handling and advising on money matters. During his formative years, Adetokunbo had a “thing” for money. He always had money and our maternal grandma taught him the value and respect for money. You would often hear it said that, Adetokunbo doesn’t like financial waste, which is not to say he didn’t like the fine things of life either. He just knew how to have a balance. He was a pacesetter. He had a curious mind, He always wanted to know, why. He wanted to succeed and he knew that with the right foundation in education, he could achieve anything. He never let any obstacle get in his way or stop him from achieving. He never saw obstacles, only possibilities!
Adetokunbo was born into a Christian family of the Anglican Communion. He was baptised in the Anglican Church and had his confirmation at the Church of The Resurrection, 1004 Flats, Victoria Island, where he was also a chorister.
After Adetokunbo gave his life to Christ, he became a member of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Victory Chapel, Magodo in 2006, up until he was posted out as one of the founding members of RCCG, Chapel of Abundance, in 2011.
He was a man who dedicated his life to serving God and church members. He was the youth pastor of the RCCG, Chapel of Abundance. He was a shining example of what it means to be a true shepherd, leading his flock with compassion, wisdom, and grace.
Pastor Toks (as he was fondly called), through his powerful sermons and teachings touched the hearts and minds of countless individuals, inspiring them to live their lives with purpose and meaning. He had a unique ability to connect with people from all walks of life, helping them to see the beauty and goodness in the world around them.
Pastor Toks’, kindness, generosity, and selflessness will always be remembered and cherished. He lived his life as a testament to the love and compassion of Jesus Christ, and his legacy will continue to inspire and guide us in the years to come. As a minister, he served in various departments within the Chapel of Abundance; such as Follow-up, Evangelism, Welfare, Finance, Youth Fellowship, and the Choir. He contributed his financial resources to the building of Chapel of Abundance as a foundation member. He pioneered Wisdom for Prosperity program in the church, which is still on till date. Also, he pioneered Youths Academy which was focused on developing and empowering youths in the church.

Adetokunbo, was a man of many facets. Very intelligent, very inquisitive, very ambitious. Loved adventures. Loved his daughter, and in fact, was a lover of Children, who doted on all his nieces and nephews and had a personal relationship with each of them, mentoring them. He was fun to be with and was not afraid to try something new. He loved food, he loved music of all genres, he loved to sleep, he loved to travel, he loved his family and those he held dear. He tried new things. Even when he was sick, he continued to work and sought ways he could be a blessing to those in need. He loved to impact the lives of others.
He went back to school. He got a new degree and certifications, he still laughed. He still found humour in life. Always goofy and serious at the same time.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories, loved ones too many to enumerate.
He lives forever in our hearts.
